Government urged to honor Ram Vilas Paswan with statue and named monument on Marine Drive

A political delegation led by Lok Jan Shakti Party MP Arun Bharti met Bihar’s Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on September 10 to seek official recognition of Padma Bhushan Ram Vilas Paswan at Patna’s Marine Drive. The group requested that a roundabout be renamed "Padma Bhushan Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Roundabout" and that a full‑size bronze statue be installed. They argued that Paswan’s dedication to social justice, especially for Dalits, OBCs and the economically weaker sections, deserves a lasting public tribute. The chief minister listened attentively, and party leaders expressed optimism that the state will approve the proposal.
