Government Rolls Out Revised Flight Scheme Alongside Airport Launch
During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will also unveil the ‘Revised Flight’ initiative, popularly described as the ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’ plan. The scheme seeks to accelerate the development of regional air routes, linking smaller towns and remote areas with major hubs.
The central government has earmarked 28,840 crore rupees for the next decade to strengthen regional air connectivity. The funding is expected to create new routes, improve existing services and stimulate balanced regional development throughout the country.
Officials argue that the scheme will usher in a new phase of civil aviation, offering ordinary citizens greater access to air travel and bolstering economic activity in underserved regions.
