Government recruitment: 42 senior section engineer positions at RDSO

The Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) has opened recruitment for 42 Senior Section Engineer positions, split between 25 Electrical Inspection and 17 Mechanical Inspection roles. The vacancies are advertised as ex‑cadre and tenure‑based appointments, with the final date for receipt of applications set for 9 November.

Candidates must hold a recognised B.Tech qualification or an equivalent academic credential such as a Diploma or B.Sc. Existing staff of the Railway’s Electrical or Mechanical divisions are also eligible, provided they have completed a minimum of five years as a Senior Section Engineer (Pay Level‑7).

Shortlisted applicants will be examined by a screening committee, and those who clear the process will be placed on the Pay Level‑7 salary scale, receiving a monthly remuneration in line with government pay commissions. Initial postings will be for four years, with scope for extension or reduction according to administrative demand.
