Government Promises Strict Action on Temple Fund Misuse, Pandey Says
Manoj Pandey, a senior minister in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, told reporters on June 30 that the government is launching a “zero‑tolerance” policy against anyone involved in the alleged misappropriation of the Ram temple’s chadhava donation funds. He claimed that the police have already seized evidence, arrested eight individuals, and are keeping several more behind bars while investigations continue.
“The people who caused the mess will be remembered for their seven‑fold sins,” Pandey warned, stating that the administration will not allow anyone to sabotage the ongoing temple projects. He praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his decisive actions and said the state is determined to protect religious heritage while maintaining law and order.
Pandey also spoke about the broader development agenda, noting that women now move freely at night in Uttar Pradesh, that the state’s infrastructure is improving, and that India’s defence and space capabilities are stronger than ever under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He urged any dissenting voices to openly declare their support for building a Krishna temple in Mathura, arguing that such transparency would expose their true motives.
