Government opens dialogue with students after exam irregularities, CM assures action

After reports of paper leaks and procedural lapses in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Subordinate Service Commission (JSSC) exams, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced a formal dialogue platform for affected students. He described the initiative as a “medium for conversation” that will bridge the gap between the administration and youth.

The chief minister said that the government will schedule a series of meetings in each district, allowing students to present their concerns directly to officials without any political interference. He stressed that only genuine participants—those directly impacted by the irregularities—will be invited.

Soren promised swift corrective action based on the feedback received, including revisiting the examination process, strengthening monitoring mechanisms and imposing strict penalties for malpractice. He called on educators, policy makers and civil society to contribute constructive recommendations.

The announcement was welcomed by student leaders, who expressed hope that the proposed consultative mechanism will lead to tangible improvements in exam security and overall educational standards.
