During the rally, officials reminded participants of the financial incentives offered by the state for sterilisation procedures. Women who undergo tubectomy are eligible for a cash assistance of ₹2,000, while men opting for vasectomy receive ₹3,000.

The Collector urged families to take advantage of these schemes, explaining that the funds are intended to offset temporary loss of income and to motivate broader acceptance of voluntary sterilisation as a safe, effective family‑planning tool.

He added that the incentives are part of a larger effort to accelerate the adoption of modern contraceptive methods, thereby contributing to the district’s target of stabilising population growth by 2025.
