Government Forms Special Investigation Team for Ram Temple Climbing Case
In response to a letter from Congress MP K.C. Venugopal that called for a Supreme Court‑monitored probe into the recent climbing incident at the Ram temple site, the government announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The team has been tasked with gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and delivering a first‑level report to the authorities.
Praveen Khandelwal, speaking to reporters, affirmed that the administration remains "vigilant" and will act based on factual findings once the investigation report is submitted. He assured that any necessary legal steps will follow the due process prescribed by law.
The minister emphasized that the SIT’s establishment reflects the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability, especially in matters that attract public scrutiny and have the potential to affect communal harmony.
