Government’s ₹6 crore Call Centre Project Aims to Stop Youth Migration
In a bid to halt the exodus of educated youth from Uttar Pradesh, the central government has earmarked ₹6 crore for a high‑tech call centre in Ashoknagar. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia disclosed that the centre will host 2,000 workstations and is expected to absorb 2,592 local job‑seekers with salaries between ₹20,000 and ₹25,000 per month.
The expansion forms part of a broader strategic effort to create sustainable livelihoods within the district. Sindhia described the project as the next phase of the "lakhpati youth" initiative, which seeks to transform rural talent pools into a skilled, employable workforce.
Beyond direct employment, the centre will generate indirect jobs in logistics, catering, and facility management, further reinforcing the district’s economic resilience. The minister also visited the under‑construction BJP district office, urging designers to incorporate open spaces that can serve community events and party activities.
With an overarching development plan of ₹5,000 crore for Ashoknagar, the call centre is positioned as a flagship venture that will steer the district toward a more prosperous, self‑sufficient future.
