When a 22‑year‑old resident of Dhangahta, Santkabeer Nagar, dived into the Rapti River around 6 p.m., the 26th PAC flood‑relief team was already on duty. Head Constable Mahatam Prasad immediately organized a search, deploying a motorboat to the troubled spot.

The coordinated effort rescued the man before the water could claim his life. Police later took him into custody for medical assessment and counseling. The swift action was praised by local authorities for averting a potential tragedy.
