Global Connect Initiative Links Bengali Diaspora to Kolkata Festivities

The tourism department has launched ‘Global Connect 2026’, a program designed to bridge Bengali communities worldwide with the main Durga Puja events in Kolkata. The scheme will promote cultural exchanges, featuring Bengali handicrafts, regional cuisine and themed pavilions. Organisers hope the outreach will position West Bengal as a premier cultural‑tourism destination and encourage diaspora participation in the celebrations.
