Global Clean Energy Forum: India Renewable Energy 2026 Begins Nov 2

A major global clean energy gathering is set to begin in India next week, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to inaugurate the India Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2026 on Monday, November 2. More than 130 countries are expected to be represented, including over 40 ministers.

The announcement was made on Sunday. The summit will run for four days, from November 2 to 5, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, under the theme 'Invest, Innovate, Inspire'.

The event has attracted partner participation from Australia, Denmark, the European Union, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Their presence reflects the international relevance of the renewable energy agenda.

India Renewable Energy 2026 will act as a worldwide forum for clean energy investment, industry participation and technology partnerships. Policy leaders, investors, financial institutions and corporate executives are expected to attend.

A total of 13 states and union territories will display their renewable energy capacity, investment opportunities and manufacturing potential. They are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

The summit will run concurrently with the 9th Assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH). The ISA Assembly will focus on international cooperation in solar energy, including finance and institutional capacity. The ICGH will address green hydrogen technologies, investment and expansion. These platforms together are expected to reinforce global collaboration.

The event continues the legacy of Re-Invest, one of India's key renewable energy investment summits. It seeks to create a broad platform for global engagement in the clean energy sector.

Sessions will include plenary discussions, ministerial dialogues, CEO roundtables, and country and state sessions. Business-to-business, business-to-government and government-to-government interactions are also planned to promote investment, partnerships and project development.

The expo will host more than 400 exhibitors showcasing advanced technologies, Indian manufacturing capabilities and clean energy solutions. Key areas include solar and wind power, green hydrogen, energy storage and other emerging sectors.
