Global Buyers to Explore Amroha’s GI‑Tagged Instruments at UP Trade Fair

Amroha district will take center stage at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026, staged from September 25‑29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Six prominent Amroha enterprises have secured slots to promote the region’s renowned hand‑crafted musical instruments, handloom textiles and signature snack foods.

The fair, co‑organized by the Uttar Pradesh government and IEML, will involve partner countries Russia, Singapore, Vietnam, Austria and Japan, drawing an estimated 150,000 B2B purchasers and 450,000+ B2C visitors. In Hall 11, the "Mai Artisans Welfare Society" will exhibit a full range of GI‑tagged dholaks, meticulously carved from mango and sheesham wood, offering artisans the chance to secure overseas export contracts.

The ODOD initiative will showcase Amroha’s beloved sev at Hall 16 through the "Mai Famous Sweets Centre" stall, serving the crunchy treat to visitors and facilitating entry into larger retail and digital sales channels. Complementary displays in Halls 9, 10, 14 and 15 will feature premium cotton bed‑sheets, woven fabrics, wooden hand‑crafted items and high‑grade blankets, illustrating the district’s diverse production capabilities.

With a 110‑hectare exhibition space, the event promises unhindered access for Amroha’s small‑scale producers to corporate buyers, exporters and international traders, backed by the state’s export promotion policies and marketing assistance schemes.
