The newly launched Gig Workers Rest Area in Haiderpur, Shalimar, offers essential amenities for delivery and gig‑economy employees who work round the clock. Facilities include chilled drinking water, charging points for mobile devices, and a dedicated baby‑sitting zone for female workers with infants.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted that the rest area is part of the broader "Seva Sankalp" initiative, which aims to provide safe and comfortable spaces for laborers across the capital. The center will also serve as a point of contact for workers to learn about skill‑development programs and government benefits.
