Ghosh Warns Migrants as Bengal Policy Turns Tough

Dilip Ghosh has delivered a blunt message to illegal immigrants living in West Bengal: the days of easy access to government benefits are over. In comments made amid Eid celebrations, the senior BJP leader said the new administration’s strict approach has already prompted thousands of people to prepare for return to Bangladesh. Ghosh contrasted the earlier policy of granting citizenship papers and welfare access with the present position that bars any foreign national from remaining unlawfully or drawing state resources. He also demanded additional police cases against Mamata Banerjee and her cabinet colleagues, citing repeated attacks on Hindu traditions, the President, and the Prime Minister. Ghosh described the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme as a large-scale scam, claiming 30 lakh dubious entries were created to channel benefits to infiltrators. He stressed that the BJP government is actively identifying and acting against those staying illegally, ending the political protection they once enjoyed.
