Gender Equality Fellowship Trains Young Leaders in Kashmir

KWO’s Gender Equality Fellowship, launched to cultivate future women leaders, offers training in leadership, dialogue skills, constitutional knowledge, public policy, and digital literacy. Young participants receive hands‑on experience in community engagement, preparing them for roles in public life.

The first batch of fellows was honored by the Deputy Lieutenant Governor in June 2026, a ceremony that Bhat says has inspired many more young women to step into leadership positions. The fellowship aims to create a pipeline of capable women who can influence decision‑making processes at local and regional levels.
