Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Rescue Suicide Victim Using CPR

On 22 September 2026, a man in Gautam Buddha Nagar tried to kill himself by hanging, prompting an emergency alert to the DIAL-112 hotline.

Under the guidance of Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, a PRV crew reached the location promptly. Officers Sudhanshu Gupta and Arjun Kumar freed the victim from the rope and began life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the spot.

The CPR performed by the officers stabilized the victim’s breathing and pulse, allowing paramedics to move him safely to an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors administered primary treatment and reported a stable condition.

Police counselors engaged with the patient after medical care, and the individual pledged not to repeat suicidal behavior. Relatives expressed gratitude for the police’s decisive action that prevented a fatal outcome.

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police highlighted that the DIAL-112 initiative is built to provide immediate assistance, stressing that minutes saved in the first response can be critical.
