Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Tighten Security Before Festive Season

Ahead of the upcoming festive season, Gautam Buddh Nagar Police have stepped up security in Central Noida Zone with a large-scale checking operation conducted on October 27, 2026.

The drive focused on main crossings, markets, crowded localities, industrial areas and other sensitive places. Police scrutinised suspicious individuals and vehicles, and a total of 1,667 vehicles and 2,315 people were checked during the operation.

As part of enforcement, 212 vehicles were challaned for traffic violations and three vehicles were seized. Action under Section 292 of the BNSS was taken against 914 persons found involved in disturbing public peace or suspicious activities.

The campaign was carried out under the direction of Police Commissioner Gautam Buddh Nagar Laxmi Singh. It was led by DCP Central Noida Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh, with ADCP Central Noida Swatantra Kumar Singh overseeing the deployment.

Police units from Phase-2, Phase-3, Sector-63, Bisrakh, Badalpur, Surajpur, Ecotech-3 and Sector-142 stations took part jointly. To make the drive effective, 42 police teams were formed and assigned to 42 major intersections and sensitive spots.

Officers observed movement at checkpoints and reviewed security arrangements in public spaces. Surveillance was intensified at banks, ATMs, hotels, dhabas and other locations where greater attention was needed.

Station heads have been instructed to keep up regular foot patrols and ensure effective patrolling. Officers were also asked to increase night-time police movement and maintain strict watch over anti-social and anarchic elements.

Police have underlined that such campaigns are vital for maintaining public order, enforcing traffic rules and curbing anti-social activity, and for reassuring residents during the festival period.
