Ganeshotsav Controversy Escalates as Central Minister Condemns Police Directive

A controversy erupted in Mysuru on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi after police inspector Dhananjay issued directions aimed at maintaining public order. Joshi posted that if Hindus have to shout to celebrate their festivals, the situation is disastrous. He argued that the directive appeared to serve a political agenda rather than genuine security concerns.
