The death of Finance Ministry official Navjot Singh has caused widespread shock in the National Capital Region. He was killed when struck by a BMW in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan on Sunday. His wife, Sandeep Kaur, sustained critical injuries in the accident. The incident led to allegations of a cover-up, sparking controversy. The driver of the BMW, identified as 38-year-old Gaganpreet Makkar, was arrested the following Monday. Her husband and two children were also present in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The BMW hit the Finance Ministry official’s motorcycle at Dhaula Kuan, but the injured parties were transported to a hospital 20 km away in GTB Nagar, a detail that fueled further questions.
