Future of Education Discussed at BHU, Emphasis on Gradual NEP Implementation

The two‑day conference at Banaras Hindu University gathered educators, policymakers and UNESCO representatives to explore the future of schooling in India. Governor Syed Ata Hasanain stressed that the National Education Policy 2020 cannot be imposed overnight; it requires a progressive, phased rollout across states such as Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

He described BHU’s role as a model institution where the policy’s principles are being adopted creatively. The governor noted that the NEP includes numerous initiatives that demand time for full comprehension and effective execution.
