Four Saved from Flooded Home in Sultanpur, Una Taluka

Heavy showers swept through Una Taluka on July 5, causing water to seep into low‑lying residential areas. In Sultanpur village, a family of four became stranded inside their house as floodwater rose rapidly. Local officials received an emergency alert and dispatched a joint rescue team from the Sub‑Divisional Office and the State Disaster Response Force.

Rescuers entered the submerged dwelling using a small boat and safely extracted the four occupants. The survivors were taken to Sultanpur Primary School, where temporary bedding and food were arranged for the night. The district administration has placed the SDRF on high alert across the district and is coordinating closely with local bodies to provide ongoing assistance.
