In a decision announced on August 3, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashwini Panwar dismissed the sexual‑harassment case against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh and co‑accused Vinod Tomar, finding no supporting evidence. The ruling follows months of protests, including a sit‑in at Jantar Mantar by wrestlers Vinash Fogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Poonia.
Bajrang Poonia, addressing supporters on X, condemned the judgment and claimed that the government and the judicial system had been working from day one to protect Brijbhushan. He reaffirmed that the athletes will continue to pursue the case through higher courts and that their resolve remains unshaken.
