Former Odisha Chief Minister and current Leader of the Opposition, Naveen Patnaik, was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening following dehydration. Sources indicate that the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief’s condition is stable, and he is under medical observation for further examination. Doctors treating him have confirmed that he is responding positively to treatment. Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling stated that Patnaik was admitted due to health-related issues. Upon receiving the information, he, along with Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and Bhubaneswar MLA Babu Singh, visited the hospital to inquire about his health. They confirmed his stable condition. Doctors have attributed the hospitalization to dehydration. The Health Minister mentioned that the hospital administration was instructed to provide all possible facilities and that the government would offer full support if needed. Doctors will remain in constant contact with the health department. Patnaik is currently in the ICU, and the medical team is awaiting further updates. Prayers are being offered for his swift recovery.
