First Amarnath Convoy to Depart After Flag Hoisting by Lieutenant Governor

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, is set to hoist the ceremonial flag for the first group of pilgrims on Friday. The convoy will leave from Jammu after the flag‑raising ceremony, marking the official start of the Amarnath Yatra this year. Organisers have highlighted improved facilities, shorter waiting times, and better security measures that have been put in place following the on‑site registration drive.
