Firing Near Tiger Shroff: Four Accused Held, Custody Till Oct 26

A court in Mumbai on Thursday ordered that four people arrested in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff be kept in police custody until October 26.

The Special Cell's NDR unit of Delhi Police had taken the four into custody on October 20.

Those arrested have been identified as Kunal, aged 21, and Sumit, aged 19, residents of Sonipat in Haryana. The other two are Radha, 23, from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, and Babita, 23, from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the accused left Surat in Gujarat after the incident and boarded a train to Jaipur. The plan, according to reports, was to reach New Delhi and then cross over to Nepal. Mumbai Police arrested them in Kota, Rajasthan, before they could reach the capital.

Police sources have said that the accused practised shooting before the attack.

As per the information gathered, the accused fired a round inside a hotel room in Andheri, Mumbai, while checking the weapon. The purpose was to see whether the weapon was in working order.

During questioning, the accused also told police where they had tested the weapon.

It has been reported that the two main accused successfully fired during the practice session.

The investigation has also found that one bullet went off accidentally during the weapon check in the Andheri hotel room. Sources said it struck the bed in the room, but hotel staff and others present had no suspicion.

Police are investigating further, and the accused are still being questioned.
