The Delhi branch of the Enforcement Directorate has frozen both movable and immovable holdings worth an estimated Rs 58.34 crore that belong to Ritu Singhal, spouse of former Bhushan Steel promoter Neeraj Singhal. The assets were seized on June 24, 2026, under the Prevention of Money‑Laundering Act, 2002, following a Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) complaint that charged the accused with scheduled offences. The confiscated portfolio comprises land parcels and a segment of a residential property in Indore, equity shares in Ritu Singhal’s name, and significant bank balances, all allegedly tied to a massive diversion of funds that inflicted a loss of Rs 11,446.73 crore on banking institutions.
