Students enrolled in FIITJEE’s flagship coaching programmes were required to pay advance fees ranging from ₹2.8 lakh to ₹3.5 lakh. The ED alleges that after teachers quit over unpaid salaries, the institute continued to admit new students while diverting the collected fees to other purposes. Between May 2024 and February 2025, FIITJEE reportedly shut down 32 centres without notice, leaving 14,411 students stranded. Despite the closures, the company kept accepting fresh admissions for courses scheduled to run until March 2029, fully aware that it could not deliver the promised training.
