Fatal Road Accident Marred Ganesh Visarjan Procession in Raichur, Karnataka

The Ganesh Visarjan parade in Raichur turned tragic on September 19 when a tractor, part of the procession, struck a speed‑bump and lost its balance. Two teenagers, identified as Suchit Kumar (16) and Charan Kumar (14), fell from the vehicle and were crushed, leading to their deaths. A third boy, Vijay Kumar, was severely wounded and is now in critical care. Police officials, including the SP, confirmed that the accident occurred near the M. Eranna Circle and that a formal inquiry is underway to determine if driver negligence or road conditions played a role.
