Fatal Assault Over Garbage Dumping Claims Lives of Married Pair in Maharashtra

In a chilling episode from Sangli district, Maharashtra, a disagreement about waste disposal escalated into a lethal attack that claimed the lives of a married couple. The confrontation started when residents clashed over a pile of trash left at the entrance of a house in the Kupward area. According to police, the altercation intensified, and an individual identified as Farid Abdul Sheikh allegedly assaulted Manisha Mohan Keskar and her spouse Mohan Keskar.

Manisha succumbed to her injuries immediately, while Mohan was transported to the Civil Hospital in a critical state. Despite medical intervention, he passed away on Tuesday. The incident has now been recorded as a double murder.

Law enforcement officials have detained the alleged perpetrator and are conducting a detailed investigation. Family members and local citizens gathered at the hospital, calling for the case to be expedited through a fast‑track court and for the accused to receive the harshest possible punishment.
