Farmers to Save Time as Clerks Stop Visiting Tehsil Offices

Previously, villagers often had to travel to tehsil or other sub‑district centres to meet revenue clerks for certificate issuance and plan verification. The new roster, effective from 1 July, places clerks directly in gram secretariats, cutting down travel time and expense. The presence of clerks will also speed up verification for land ownership, mining, crop‑sale centres, and public distribution system audits, making rural administration more accountable and responsive.
