Farmers to Gain Access to New Export Opportunities at Uttar Pradesh Mango Expo
The upcoming "UP Mango Festival‑2026" in Lucknow is set to become a pivotal forum for mango growers seeking to expand into international markets. Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh emphasized that the festival will provide detailed guidance on export requirements, market trends and value‑addition strategies.
Through dedicated stalls and interactive sessions, participants will learn about modern orchard management, disease‑resistant varieties and efficient harvesting techniques. The festival’s agenda includes workshops on packaging, certification, logistics and customs procedures, aiming to bridge the gap between farm production and global trade.
A curated collection of rare mango cultivars such as Dashari, Langda, Chaunsa, Aamrapali, Ratol and Lucknow Safed will be on display, illustrating the state’s genetic diversity. Processed mango products, ranging from pulp to ready‑to‑eat snacks, will also be exhibited to demonstrate the potential for higher‑margin enterprises.
The event will culminate in competitions that recognize superior cultivars, innovative processing methods and outstanding growers. Winners will receive commendations and visibility that could facilitate export partnerships, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s position as a leading mango exporter.
