Faridabad Workshop Aims to Strengthen Gender‑Responsive Governance

A high‑profile workshop titled “She Is a Change‑Maker” will be conducted by the National Commission for Women in Faridabad on September 7‑8. More than two dozen women legislators from 22 states will convene to explore major governance themes, including effective public leadership, gender budgeting, crisis support for vulnerable women, and the impact of self‑help groups at the grassroots level. The event will feature Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla as the chief guest and Haryana Chief Minister Nafe Singh Saini. NCW President Vijaya Ravatkar emphasized that meaningful participation of women in governance is essential for a just and responsive society.
