Family of Ten in Trimbakeshwar Pilgrimage Tragedy After Vehicle Malfunction

A group of ten members from the Jaiswal family embarked on a pilgrimage to Trimbakeshwar and were returning home when their Artiga car suffered a mechanical failure near Atgaon. While traveling on the Mumbai‑Nashik Highway, the steering locked and the brakes failed, causing the driver to lose command of the vehicle.

The car slammed into a long‑abandoned truck, resulting in a catastrophic crash. Four family members, including a child, died on the spot. Seven others were injured and have been admitted to Shahapur sub‑district hospital for treatment.

The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the maintenance of abandoned vehicles on highways.
