Family of Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to Meet UP CM Yogi Adityanath

The family of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) pilot, Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, is scheduled to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Shukla's parents, father Shambhu Dayal Shukla, mother Asha Shukla, and sister Shuchi Mishra, will meet the Chief Minister. This meeting celebrates Shukla's selection as the mission pilot, making him the first Indian to journey to the International Space Station (ISS) since Rakesh Sharma in 1984. The family gathered at Shukla's former school in Lucknow to watch the live telecast of the spacecraft's successful docking at the ISS. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft docked at the ISS, carrying Shukla and other astronauts. The mission includes joint experiments between NASA and ISRO.
