Family of Bharat Tiwari Seeks Justice, Minister Promises Enforcement
Bhojpur’s Bilauti village became the focal point of a high‑profile visit on July 3 when Union Minister Chirag Paswan paid his respects to the family of Bharat Tiwari, a youth killed in a police operation on June 23. Paswan knelt in front of Tiwari’s picture, a gesture captured by local media.
The father recounted a thorough dialogue with the minister, noting that Paswan pledged to bring the accused to justice within three to four days. He also confirmed that Paswan had spoken with Home Minister Amit Shah and would approach Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary for additional support.
The mother reiterated the minister’s guarantee that anyone linked to the killing will face the full force of the law, insisting that the incident was a premeditated murder rather than a lawful encounter.
In his statement, Paswan warned that officials who bypass legal norms risk destroying the public’s faith in the justice system. He called for stringent punishment for those who participated in the unlawful killing and assured that the central government will monitor the case closely.
