Vinay’s father, Indrajit VishwaKarma, alleged that on May 29 the child received nasal drops instead of prescribed ocular medication while under care at Bunda Civil Hospital. The family reported intense burning sensations followed by a rapid decline in the boy’s eyesight. Hospital officials, however, insisted that the alleged normal saline drops were never part of the pharmacy inventory, and that such drops cannot erase vision. The child's condition worsened, prompting transfers first to the district hospital in Sagar and later to AIIMS Bhopal for advanced treatment.
