Energy security and infrastructure upgrades featured by PM

Modi's speech underscored India's drive for energy security and modern infrastructure. He announced a target of 100 GW of nuclear power by 2047, with five new reactors planned and a recent achievement in fast‑breeder technology. Renewable capacity has leapt from 2 GW to 160 GW, and the PM Suryaghar scheme has installed solar systems for 5 million homes, cutting electricity bills for thousands.

The Prime Minister highlighted the expansion of metro networks, the completion of 100 % railway electrification, and the launch of the world's longest hydrogen‑powered train. Gas connections have risen from 70 cities to 700, serving nearly 2 crore households. Water, sanitation, and housing initiatives have accelerated, delivering 15‑times more tap connections, six‑times more gas connections, and three‑times more homes for the poor each year.
