Eligibility and Application Details for JKPSC College Jobs Released

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has published comprehensive eligibility criteria for its latest recruitment drive. A total of 205 posts are available in government degree colleges, comprising 192 Assistant Professor positions, nine College Directors of Physical Education & Sports, and four Librarian vacancies.

Applicants must possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate, obtained before September 19, 1991. Additionally, candidates must have cleared a nationally recognized eligibility test such as the UGC NET, UGC SET, or an equivalent exam approved by the commission.

The age ceiling is set at 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Reserved category candidates will receive the usual age relaxations as per government rules. The online application portal opened on August 1 and will close on August 31. A short correction window is provided from September 1 to September 3 for applicants to amend any mistakes.

The recruitment process will include a written examination, verification of documents, and other assessment stages. Selected candidates will be offered a salary range of ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances. Application fees are ₹1,200 for general candidates and ₹700 for those belonging to reserved categories; Ph.D. holders are exempt from paying the fee.
