The Election Commission of India (ECI) is scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday, October 6, at 4 PM to reveal the schedule for the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections. This announcement follows a prior press conference in Patna on October 5, where the ECI reviewed the state’s preparedness for the elections. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, accompanied by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, attended the briefing, indicating that the election preparations in Bihar are entering their final phase. The ECI will unveil the complete schedule, encompassing polling phases, specific polling dates, vote counting procedures, and the date of the results announcement. A two-day visit to Bihar by the ECI delegation included meetings in Patna with enforcement agencies to ensure free and fair elections. The Election Commission briefed the media on the status of election readiness, highlighting measures taken to maintain the integrity of the electoral process. CEC Gyanesh Kumar stated the elections will be held before November 22. 100% webcasting will be implemented to ensure transparency. Kumar also highlighted 17 new election initiatives implemented in Bihar.
