Education and Tolerance: Razaidi Links Literacy to Communal Peace

Maulana Sajid Razaidi, speaking on August 30, reiterated his support for Union chief Mohan Bhagwat’s call for Hindu‑Muslim togetherness while stressing the pivotal role of education in curbing communal hatred.

He praised the statement as a true representation of India’s pluralistic heritage, where people of different religions coexist peacefully. Yet Razaidi noted that over the past two decades, certain forces have tried to disrupt that harmony and sow discord.

“The government must act now against anyone who spreads animosity towards Muslims,” Razaidi demanded. “If party members who incite hate are not jailed, Bhagwat’s words will remain empty rhetoric.” He likened such double standards to the proverb “Ram in the mouth, dagger in the armpit.”

Drawing a comparison with European nations, the cleric argued that high literacy rates—often above 90 percent—have propelled those societies ahead. He called for a focused drive to boost India’s literacy, insisting that an educated population can safeguard the nation from hate‑filled agendas.

Razaidi concluded that the progress of the country hinges on mutual respect and love among all communities, urging both the government and the RSS to understand that any attempt to fracture the nation through hate will ultimately fail.
