ED Summons Senior Bureaucrat in Hyderabad Over Government Land Fraud

The Enforcement Directorate questioned senior IAS officer Amoy Kumar on Monday concerning the fraudulent sale of 42.33 acres of government land in Maheshwaram mandal. The probe focuses on whether revenue records were manipulated to transfer restricted land to private individuals. The ED had previously conducted raids in April 2024, seizing luxury vehicles and cash linked to the case. Investigators are now examining the role of high-ranking officials in facilitating these registrations through the state's digital land records system. This marks the second time the officer has been questioned by the central agency.
