Economic Offences Wing reports 296 arrests in TRE-3 scam

Since the inception of the investigation into the BPSC TRE‑3 paper leak, the Bihar Economic Offences Wing has detained a total of 296 individuals accused of participating in or benefitting from the illicit scheme. The large number of arrests underscores the scale of the fraud, which is being pursued under multiple legal provisions, including the IPC, the IT Act, and the state's examination conduct legislation.

EOW officials affirmed that the crackdown will continue until all members of the alleged syndicate are brought to justice. They warned that anyone found complicit in the distribution or utilization of leaked question papers will face stringent penalties.
