₹89,731 Crore Investment: Maharashtra Clears Five Future-Tech Projects

Maharashtra is set to receive a major industrial boost after the state Cabinet Sub-Committee approved five high-value projects totaling ₹89,731 crore. Led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the panel granted special incentives to ventures in coal gasification, solar modules, electric steel, and advanced materials. The move is projected to create around 20,000 jobs while accelerating development in Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Nashik. The projects align with Maharashtra’s long-term vision of becoming a leader in high-tech manufacturing. By supporting industries such as solar cell production and synthetic graphite anode material, the government aims to integrate the state into global supply chains for clean energy and electric vehicles. Fadnavis highlighted that these investments will stimulate local entrepreneurship, strengthen ancillary units, and drive research collaborations. Skill development programs linked to the projects are expected to equip young professionals with expertise in next-generation technologies, thereby reducing unemployment in rural and semi-urban areas. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers, the Industry Minister, and top bureaucrats. Officials stressed that the incentives will be delivered through a coordinated package covering land, power, and water, ensuring swift project execution and long-term economic gains.
