In a fresh push to enrich Ayodhya’s tourism landscape, the municipal corporation will soon begin work on the Lav-Kush Park. Located beside the MRF Centre on the Raebareli road, the ₹17.72 crore facility will convert scrap into striking Ramayana art under the Smart City programme. Designers plan to recreate legendary scenes—Lav and Kush capturing the horse, the royal yagya, and the years spent in exile—using metal discarded by local industries. Each installation will be paired with digital storytelling tools so visitors can hear the tales while viewing the sculptures. City Commissioner Jayendra Kumar said the park will also host regular awareness drives on recycling and sustainability. With modern pathways, shaded seating, and round-the-clock security, the space aims to serve both pilgrims seeking quiet reflection and students on educational tours. Officials believe the project will reinforce Ayodhya’s identity as a city that values both its ancient heritage and a cleaner future.
