Manoj Kumar Dwivedi Stresses Quality and Timely Delivery for BRICS Summit Preparations

On the occasion of Independence Day, NDMC chairman Manoj Kumar Dwivedi hoisted the Indian flag at the council’s main office and delivered a clear message to his team: the upcoming BRICS summit demands uncompromising quality and strict adherence to deadlines.

He highlighted that every responsibility allocated for the summit must be fulfilled within the prescribed time frame and must conform to the highest standards of excellence.

The event was attended by Vice‑President Kuljeet Singh Chahal, council members Anil Varmiki and D.P. Singh, Secretary Rahul Singh, senior officials, as well as school students and teachers. Dwivedi paid his respects to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and to the armed and paramilitary forces safeguarding the nation.

The chairman urged the municipal agency to match global benchmarks in infrastructure, civic amenities, cleanliness, aesthetics and overall preparedness, insisting that no compromise be made on any front. He expressed full confidence that the collective dedication, hard work and teamwork of NDMC will enable the body to overcome every obstacle and successfully meet all obligations.

Dwivedi also reflected on the council’s previous achievements, noting that past projects have demonstrated NDMC’s institutional strength and execution capability, leading to improved public infrastructure and fulfilling citizen expectations. He called on all officials and staff to retain the spirit of excellence and to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed on schedule without sacrificing quality, efficiency or international standards.

Before the flag‑raising, NDMC security and fire personnel presented a guard of honor. To commemorate Independence Day, the council illuminated its headquarters, convention centre, NDC building, Connaught Place, Charaka Museum, Palika Bazaar and other key venues with about 18,000 tricolor bulbs.
