Dutta Warns Against Hasty Leadership Changes During Border Standoff
Tanushree Dutta’s Instagram statement on August 1 emphasized that trusting a newcomer to handle delicate border issues is risky. She said the current environment is fragile, with tension lingering on the Bangladesh side and an unresolved China front.
The actress cautioned that dismissing or forcing the resignation of senior leaders would only embolden hostile neighbours. She explained that the paper leak which sparked anger among JNUSU members is being addressed, and the leadership is already working on solutions.
Dutta concluded that the nation needs stability: “Leadership that is focused on security will keep India safe and comfortable for its citizens.” She urged protesters to channel their frustration through responsible avenues rather than destabilising the government.
