Dubey’s comments on Nehru spark parliamentary row, RJD MP threatens evidence
On July 29, RJD representative Sudhakar Singh expressed vehement dissent over BJP MP Nischint Dubey’s attack on the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru. Singh described Dubey as a “low‑grade” politician whose only aim is to destabilise the democratic framework of the nation.
The RJD MP highlighted that Dubey consistently evades discussion on substantial legislative matters, preferring instead to resort to personal insults against historic figures.
Singh accused Dubey of being entrenched in layers of corruption, maintaining relationships with convicted offenders, and asserted that “dozens of pieces of evidence” substantiate these claims. He announced that the RJD will submit a dossier of facts and documents in the coming days.
The controversy also resurfaced debates over the pending anti‑paper‑leak bill. Singh criticised the government for shielding fraudsters, noting that the Central Bureau of Investigation has yet to penalise any individual in recent paper‑leak cases.
