219 Assistant Professor Vacancies at DTU: Eligibility & Selection

Aspiring faculty members have a new opportunity to apply for teaching roles at Delhi Technological University. The institution has announced 219 vacancies for Assistant Professor posts through direct recruitment, spread across engineering, sciences, management, humanities, and emerging technology fields.

The department-wise breakdown shows a strong demand for faculty in core engineering. Computer Science and Engineering leads with 36 vacancies. Civil Engineering and Production Engineering have 20 vacancies each, Mechanical Engineering has 18, and Automobile Engineering has 12. Electrical Engineering has 8 and Electronics and Communication Engineering has 4.

In the science and applied streams, Applied Physics has 15 vacancies and Engineering Physics has 11. Applied Mathematics has 11, Mathematics and Computing has 2, Applied Chemistry has 4, and Biotechnology has 6. Environmental Science and Engineering has 6 posts, and Geospatial Technology and Geospatial Science have 6 and 2 respectively.

Other vacancies include Management (DSM) with 10 posts, Information Technology with 9, Software Engineering with 3, Design with 3, Chemical Engineering with 4, and Humanities subjects. Humanities (Economics) has 5 posts, Humanities (English) has 3, and Economics (USME) has 1.

Applications were opened online on Friday at 11 AM. The deadline is 7 December at 5 PM, so candidates should complete their registration through the official DTU website within this period.

Applicants must also send a physical set of documents after registering online. The envelope should contain educational qualifications, experience details, category certificate, PwBD certificate if applicable, the first page of the PhD thesis, the first page of publications, supporting documents for claims, and a copy of the fee receipt. It should be addressed to the Recruitment Cell, Room No. 818, 8th Floor, AB-3 Block, Delhi Technological University, Shahbad Daulatpur, Bawana Road, Delhi - 110042, and must reach by the last date by post or other means.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on initial scrutiny of applications, verification of documents and marks, presentation, and interview. Salaries of selected candidates will follow DTU's pay scale rules.

The application fee is Rs 3,000 for General and OBC candidates and Rs 1,000 for EWS, SC, and ST candidates, paid online. Persons with disabilities are exempt from the registration fee.
