Technology plays a central role in the security framework for this year's Kanwar Yatra. Approximately 4,000 CCTV cameras now monitor every major route, feeding live footage to a 24‑hour control room. In addition, drones hover over the 20 sensitive zones and known accident hotspots, providing real‑time aerial visuals that help authorities detect crowd build‑up, traffic congestion or any untoward incident instantly. The integrated surveillance system links camera feeds with drone data, allowing the command centre to dispatch police units within minutes should a situation arise.
