Drivers Asked to Use Alternate Routes as Marathon Impacts Key Streets

The Chandigarh Traffic Police have warned commuters that the upcoming marathon will disrupt regular traffic patterns between 5 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Key thoroughfares such as the Capital Complex‑High Court Chowk link, Old Barricade Chowk and the road to Sukna Lake will see diverted traffic. Specific turning points – right turn at Heera Singh Chowk, left turn from Punjab Lok Bhawan Road toward Kishangarh, and right turn at St. Kabir Light Point – will be under police control. Additional diversions cover left turns at Shastri Nagar Light Point, Kishangarh Chowk, Lalit Hotel and a U‑turn at IT Park Light Point. Officers will be positioned at each point to guide vehicles and maintain safety.
